Kickstarter Review: Growler Chill
For Craft beer lovers, Growlers are used to take home the beer that is only available on draft. The problem though with pouring beer into a growler is that the beer is exposed to oxygen which can change the taste of the beer. Thankfully a project on Kickstarter aims to solve that problem with a product they call the Growler Chill.
The Grower Chill does three things. First, it stores your growler in a dark refrigerated unit keeping the beer cold and away from light. Second, it has a patented Viginator which purges the oxygen from the growler. This is essential for beer to last. The third and best part of the chill is its ability to put three growers on tap.
This feature is by far the best because it allows you to fill up more than one growler and pour it into a glass like you are at the bar. The size of the Growler chill is great because it is not much bigger than a normal microwave allowing you to keep in on your counter at home or supplement your keg-orator at home with some more craft beer on tap.
As a craft beer lover, I hope that this Kickstarter follows through with its product and is a success. As of now, it has blown past its goal of $175,000 reaching an astounding $508,517. The Growler Chill, if successful, will open up the world of growlers to more people.
